Please make sure your Passport is valid for at least 7 months before entering Egypt in April.

Visa: Many nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an e-visa in advance via Visa2Egypt. Check your country’s specific requirements. We always recommend applying for the VISA in advance, if you need it. If not, the Visa on arrival is $25.

Currency: The Egyptian Pound (EGP) is the local currency. ATMs are widely available, and major credit cards are accepted in most hotels and restaurants.

Weather: April is warm and sunny in Egypt, with temperatures around 25-30°C (77-86°F). Pack light clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen!

Language: Arabic is the official language, but English is commonly spoken in tourist areas.

Transportation: Uber is the best option for getting around in Cairo, and taxis are also available.

Tipping Culture: Tipping (known as baksheesh) is common in Egypt, so it’s a good idea to carry small bills (5-20 EGP) for tips. Hotel staff, drivers, tour guides, and restaurant servers usually expect a small gratuity for good service.
